Another substantial sterling silver ring. This is a Maori head that is turned at a 45 degree angle and has his tongue sticking out just like the Maori warriors. The head is 27 mm high x 25.7 mm wide, and the band that is decorated with Maori swirl designs, is 9.3 mm wide. Bezel-set in his eyes are 2-3.5 mm stones.
Design Notes:
The reference for this piece is a wooden carving from the entrance to a Maori
assembly house. It is said that this was brought from Tangaroa's house on the
floor of the ocean by an ancestor that was called Mutu, because he was missing
a finger.
We design each piece and build a 3d master model. We 3d print each individual wax, we do pull our waxes from a mold, so each piece has the original detail we built in the master mode. We created the artwork, it is exclusively for our use and it is not available anywhere else.
We do everything here in our studio. Once the wax is 3d printed, it is sprued and invested, cast in metal, finished and set. Each item is made to order and will take 2 weeks to 30 days to finish and send out.
Los Wonkalerros
Pyppee, Alfiler, Lleo & BubbaLou
For nearly 20 years we have been Hollywood’s “go to” jewelers for television and films. In our spare time, we design and make jewelry that we like to wear. Most pieces are inspired by our rescue dogs, Pyppee, Alfiler, Lleo and BubbaLou, but we also make items with other themes, like skulls, pirates, tikis, Vikings, tattoos, etc.
