Sterling silver pendant on a waxed cotton cord. This pendant has a piece of lava (Indonesian lava, not cursed lava from Polynesia) 38.3 mm high x 29.6 mm wide speared by a silver Maori war club. The total length of this pendant is 62.7 mm.
Design Notes:
The design of this pendant comes from a Maori godstick that was used in war.
The Maori god of war is Kahukura and his symbol is a rainbow which you will see
on the bottom piece of the pendant Kahukura was scared to the Maoris that came
in the Aotea and Taki Tumu canoes.
We design each piece and build a 3d master model. We 3d print each individual wax, we do pull our waxes from a mold, so each piece has the original detail we built in the master mode. We created the artwork, it is exclusively for our use and it is not available anywhere else.
We do everything here in our studio. Once the wax is 3d printed, it is sprued and invested, cast in metal, finished and set. Each item is made to order and will take 2 weeks to 30 days to finish and send out.
Los Wonkalerros
Pyppee, Alfiler, Lleo & BubbaLou
For nearly 20 years we have been Hollywood’s “go to” jewelers for television and films. In our spare time, we design and make jewelry that we like to wear. Most pieces are inspired by our rescue dogs, Pyppee, Alfiler, Lleo and BubbaLou, but we also make items with other themes, like skulls, pirates, tikis, Vikings, tattoos, etc.
